Leling Yuema River National Wetland Park is a national-level wetland park.

The Yuema River Wetland Park runs east-west across Leling City and through its main urban area. It connects to the Yuefeng River in the west and flows into the Majia River in the east. The park features a dense network of waterways, formed by interconnected rivers and lakes such as the Nanbei River, Pan River, Yuanbao Lake, and Yuxin Lake in the western urban district, covering a total planned area of 209.88 hectares. According to the "Leling Yuema River National Wetland Park Construction Master Plan," the park will be divided into five major functional zones: wetland conservation area, restoration and reconstruction area, education and exhibition area, rational use area, and management service area. The protection and development of the wetland park will effectively improve the ecological environment of the water systems in Leling City and its main urban area, establish a model for wetland conservation and restoration in the northern plain region of Shandong, create a platform for showcasing wetland ecological culture and regional culture, highlight a successful example of harmonious coordination between wetland conservation and urban construction, promote the construction of an ecological highland in the border area between Shandong and Hebei provinces, and together with Leling’s 300,000-mu national reserve forest project and the Shandong-Hebei shelterbelt, form a crucial southern ecological barrier for the coordinated development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region. At the same time, it will help further protect the region’s unique wetland resources and landscapes, enrich cultural tourism resources, and play an important role in building an ecological civilization city and creating a new, beautiful Leling rich in water and forests.
