West Section Rural Memory Museum

The West Section Rural Memory Museum is located in Xizhao Village, West Section Township, Leling City. It borders Provincial Highway 248 to the west and connects to Daqing Road (from Dan Sun Township to Qingyun County) to the east. The main building covers an area of 500 square meters and is divided into three functional areas: the exhibition area, the multifunctional area, and the recreational activity area. Fully equipped, thematically prominent, and distinctly unique, it is the only rural memory museum in the city. Tracing the threads of history, the museum begins with the Yellow River that gave birth to Leling, starting from the earliest Youqiong Clan, and continues all the way to our Chinese Dream. Through five thematic units—Hard Work, Daily Life, Changing Customs, Journeys Afar, and the Dream of Harmony—it uses physical exhibits, photo displays, and restored traditional houses to vividly narrate the folk customs and rural development of Leling City. Its goal is to help the elderly preserve their memories, let children learn about the past, and ensure the continuation and protection of rural civilization. To the north of the museum lies a recreational activity square covering over 3,300 square meters, equipped with a standard basketball court, a gateball court, and fitness facilities.
