Tomb of the Three Daughters

The Tomb of the Three Daughters is a cultural heritage site protected at the provincial level in Shandong Province.

The Tomb of the Three Daughters is located 500 meters northwest of Zhongjia Village, Huayuan Town, Leling City. According to the 1736 (Qing Dynasty Qianlong reign) edition of the Leling County Annals: “Thirty li south of the county, there was an elderly childless couple who had three daughters. Each daughter built a tomb mound, but it is unclear in which one they were buried. Each mound is over ten feet high and several dozen feet in circumference, resembling a small hill when viewed from afar.” The 1991 edition of the Leling County Annals states that the Tomb of the Three Daughters yielded artifacts in 1945, including a Han Dynasty red pottery pig, pottery building, pottery chicken, pottery pigeon, and pottery figurines; as well as a jade pig with exquisite craftsmanship, believed to be from a Han Dynasty burial site.
