Tomb of the Fengli Han Dynasty

The Tomb of the Fengli Han Dynasty is a protected cultural heritage site of Shandong Province.

The Tomb of the Fengli Han Dynasty is located 300 meters south of Fengli Village, Jiaomiao Town, Qihe County. It was discovered on November 26, 1997, when villagers were digging soil. At that time, the villagers unearthed the vaulted passageway of a north-south oriented tomb, exposing inlaid stone reliefs. Later, experts from the Shandong Provincial Institute of Cultural Relics and Archaeology conducted drilling surveys and determined that the tomb measures 40×40 meters, with a brick-and-stone structure. It is a large-scale tomb featuring over ten chambers connected by intersecting passageways. At the center of the tomb is a grand hall supported by four circular stone pillars carved with patterns, and the tomb walls are inlaid with numerous stone reliefs. Based on its scale, style, structure, and the stone reliefs, it is preliminarily identified as a late Eastern Han Dynasty tomb of a noble or royal, dating back approximately 1,800 to 1,850 years. The county is actively applying to higher authorities for protective excavation of the tomb. This site holds significant importance for the study of Eastern Han Dynasty history in northwestern Shandong.

On December 7, 2006, the Tomb of the Fengli Han Dynasty was designated as part of the third batch of Provincial-Level Cultural Heritage Protection Units by the People's Government of Shandong Province.
