Dingli Jujube Museum

The Dingli Jujube Museum is a national AA-level tourist attraction.

The Dingli Jujube Museum is located within the industrial park of the Dingli Group. It consists of six exhibition areas: The Soul of Chinese Jujube, King of Fruits, Qinyun’s Jujube Connection, Voyage in the Sea of Art, Health and Life with Dingli’s Support, and Cultural Corridor. Centered around jujube culture, the museum thoroughly explores the profound and extensive history of jujube culture in China and Qinyun that has been passed down for thousands of years. History, present, and future are all condensed within this finite yet infinite space. The uniquely styled yet harmoniously unified exhibition halls narrate the richness of jujube culture, while art and technology showcase Dingli’s brilliance and splendor.

Museum Preface Hall: The Soul of Chinese Jujube

In the center of the preface hall stands a lush and leafy Tang Dynasty jujube tree, symbolizing the enduring spirit of the Chinese jujube. Beneath the tree stands General Luo Cheng, whose heroic figure is captured while tethering his horse. Behind the Tang jujube tree is the "Tang Jujube Stele." The front of the stele features the two large characters "Tang Jujube," written by Professor Jiang Weisong, a renowned calligrapher from Shandong University. The back of the stele bears an inscription of 325 characters, penned by Professor Zong Weicheng from the Shandong College of Arts. Together, the stele and tree stand in the preface hall, complementing each other beautifully.

On the right wall of the preface hall is a bronze relief mural titled “The Immortal of Jujubes Scattering Jujubes in Qinyun.” The left wall features a relief mural composed of three sections: “Xuanzang Reading Scriptures,” “Lin Chong Exiled,” and “The Flames of Anti-Japanese Resistance.”

Across from these is a re-creation of a traditional Qinyun residential scene. The couplet on the courtyard gate reads: “Two-thousand-year-old trees bear witness to Qinyun’s magic” on the top line, and “Five-hundred-li jujube town forges Dingli’s glory” on the bottom line, with the horizontal scroll reading: “The Soul of Chinese Jujube.”

Exhibition Hall 1: King of Fruits

The first exhibition hall showcases the origin and development of jujubes across China, their nutritional value, a grand display of various jujube varieties, and the long-standing jujube culture of China.

Jujube steamed buns, jujube New Year cakes, jujube flower rolls, jujube Laba porridge, and jujube cakes are all distinctive jujube products unique to Qinyun.

The section on the grand array of jujube varieties displays over a hundred different types of jujubes from China through physical specimens and sculptural models, allowing visitors to view the diversity of jujubes from around the world.

Exhibition Hall 2: Qinyun’s Jujube Origins

Jujubes are Qinyun’s eternal calling card. The history of jujube cultivation in Qinyun “began in the Shang and Zhou dynasties, flourished in the Wei and Jin periods, thrived in the Ming and Qing dynasties, and remains prosperous today.” For thousands of years, Qinyun’s history, culture, and people have all been intertwined with jujubes, while the thriving jujube orchards and rich jujube culture also owe their existence to the hard work and wisdom of the Qinyun people. Under the oval ceiling in the center of the hall, the exhibit panels include the “Three-Character Classic of Chinese Jujube Culture” and the “Qinyun Jujube Ode,” both created by Mr. Li Baokun, a member of the Jiusan Society. Below the Qinyun Jujube Ode panel is a stone mill-shaped display cabinet showcasing works related to Qinyun culture. The stone mill symbolizes the foundation and abundance of agriculture, representing here the fruitful achievements of Qinyun culture.

The hall uses graphic panels and poetry prose to express the deep affection of the Qinyun people for their hometown and for the little jujube.

The Northern Shandong Customs section showcases the folk traditions and jujube feasts of the jujube-growing region, offering a taste of the rich cultural flavor of Northern Shandong. A multimedia display combining sound, light, and electricity recreates the scene of jujube picking, where laughter and the crackling sounds blend into the most wonderful music echoing throughout the hall.

Exhibition Hall 3: Voyage in the Sea of Art

Upon entering the third exhibition hall, you are greeted by a uniquely artistic “Hundred Jujubes Painting.” The combination of various shapes, scripts, and lines creates a distinctive artistic effect, expressing the Qinyun people’s aspiration for a peaceful and joyful life.

The left display cabinet features a concentrated presentation and introduction of jujube wood carvings. The delicate and elegant jujube wood carvings exude good fortune and blessings, providing visitors with endless artistic enjoyment. At the center of the hall, a circular chandelier adorned with auspicious clouds and a ceiling in the shape of jujube blossoms houses a projection lamp. The Chinese character for “jujube” is projected onto the ground within a ring formed by red jujubes, echoing the legend of the Immortal of Jujubes scattering jujubes in Qinyun.

The Calligraphy and Painting section displays artworks related to jujubes by local and regional artists collected by the Dingli Group, expressing the artists’ deep affection for Qinyun and the little jujube, as well as their blessings and hopes for the Dingli Group.

In one corner of the hall, a scene from a traditional Qinyun home interior is recreated. An elderly person is cutting paper, while a child eats a jujube and watches. The heartwarming scene reflects the peaceful and happy life of Qinyun residents, presented in a natural and cozy manner.

Exhibition Hall 4: Health and Life with Dingli’s Support

The first thing you see is a bronze tripod symbolizing “prestige,” “nobility,” and “integrity.” The tripod stands atop two unpolished stones, conveying the entrepreneurial spirit of the Dingli Group: staying grounded, working diligently, acting with sincerity and trustworthiness, and embodying virtue and capacity.

The red auspicious cloud-shaped ceiling in the center of the hall signifies good fortune and brilliance, also telling visitors that they are in the renowned “Auspicious Qinyun City.”

For an enterprise to grow strong, besides solid capabilities, culture is essential. The Dingli Culture section uses graphic panels and physical newspapers and magazines to display the rich, profound, and uniquely charming corporate culture of the Dingli Group. Dingli series food products have been included in the “100 Must-Buy Specialty Products in Shandong,” with a product display area showcasing the group’s wide range of products. The Leadership Care section presents photos and videos of visits and employee support from leaders at all levels through graphic panels and multimedia. On an antique jujube wood desk sit the Four Treasures of the Study, available for inscriptions and messages from leaders and dignitaries.

The Cultural Corridor exhibits calligraphy and photography works related to jujubes by famous artists.

Sails hanging high touch the vast sea; the ambition of a great bird achieves a brilliant future. Qinyun, a city full of vitality, and Dingli, an enterprising enterprise with global vision, are moving vigorously toward tomorrow and brilliance, supported by rich jujube culture and resources.

Visitor Service Center: The Visitor Service Center is located on the third floor of the Dingli Group office building, within the Publicity Department of Dingli Group. It is a comprehensive service facility offering tour guide services, promotional information, consultation and complaints, as well as leisure shopping.
