Dafengying Ruins

The Dafengying Ruins is a cultural tourism attraction.

The Dafengying Han Tomb is said to be the tomb of Li Zuoche from the Han Dynasty. It is located one kilometer northwest of Dafengying Village, Shen County, Hengshui City, Hebei Province. The tomb mound was originally about 10 meters high, but now the remaining earthen mound is approximately 1.5 meters high, 30 meters long, and 30 meters wide, covering an area

of 900 square meters. About 150 meters south of the tomb mound, there are five earthen mounds distributed in a semi-circular pattern; each mound is 80 meters apart, measuring 150 meters long, 50 meters wide, and about 5 meters high, all oval-shaped.

According to the “Cihai” (Chinese Encyclopedia): Li Zuoche was a strategist during the Qin and Han periods. Initially ennobled as Lord Guangwu in Zhao, he later followed Han Xin and helped him conquer the territory of Yan using his strategies. Legend says Li Zuoche was a native of Raoyang. When his coffin was being transported northward after his death, the iron chains binding the coffin broke when passing through Dafengying Village, Shen County. The procession stopped there, and a sudden strong wind blew earth to cover the coffin. In recent years, some members of the Li family from Raoyang County have come to pay their respects.
