Shen Zhou Cultural Center

The Shen Zhou Cultural Center houses a library, reading rooms, rehearsal halls, multi-purpose activity rooms, and dedicated classrooms for elderly education. It provides a public leisure venue for local residents, employees of enterprises and institutions, and stationed military personnel, becoming an important hub for community cultural development. In October 2002, the local subdistrict allocated 2,000 square meters within the community school to the cultural center for organizing public cultural activities, further expanding its space and energizing community cultural programs.

The center currently has 10 full-time staff members, including 7 Party members, 40% of whom hold bachelor’s degrees. 80% of the staff possess various professional titles, and all employees receive 100% annual job training and work with certification. Over the past decade, leveraging regional characteristics and maximizing the center’s functions, 20 community cultural groups have been established, including the Changle Choir, Peking Opera Troupe, Huai Opera Troupe, Yue Opera Troupe, Shanghai Opera Troupe, Dance Team, Ballroom Dance Team, Calligraphy and Painting Enthusiasts Association, New Perspective Cultural Salon, Elderly Reading Club, and Young Pioneers Reading Group. These groups have organized a series of popular, healthy, and civilized cultural activities.
