The Liaocheng Shanxi-Shaanxi Guild Hall is a National Key Cultural Relics Protection Unit and a patriotic education base.

The Shanxi-Shaanxi Guild Hall, located on the west bank of the ancient canal in Dongguan, Dongchangfu District, Liaocheng City, Shandong Province, is an ancient architectural complex that combines a temple and a guild hall, jointly funded and built by merchants from Shanxi and Shaanxi. It is a National Key Cultural Relics Protection Unit.

The construction of the Shanxi-Shaanxi Guild Hall began in the eighth year of the Qianlong reign during the Qing Dynasty. After four years, the main structures such as the mountain gate and the main hall were completed, and it was expanded year by year until it reached its current scale in the fourteenth year of the Jiaqing reign. The guild hall stretches 77 meters from east to west and 43 meters from north to south, covering an area of 3,311 square meters. The preserved structures include over 160 rooms such as the mountain gate, theater stage, side towers, bell tower, drum tower, north and south viewing towers, north and south stele pavilions, Guan Yu Hall, God of Wealth Hall, and God of Fire Hall.

The site currently houses nineteen stone steles from various renovation periods, thirty carved square eave pillars, forty-two finely carved wooden lintels featuring relief and openwork designs, twelve stone-carved lion, elephant, and qilin bases, as well as twelve stone carvings depicting figures, flowers, birds, and landscapes on screen walls and partition walls.

Over a hundred column bases are engraved with floral and animal decorations. Notably, the couplets and inscriptions carved on wooden and stone pillars, as well as plaques, feature both regular and running scripts, highly praised by calligraphers.

The entire architectural complex of the Shanxi-Shaanxi Guild Hall is compactly laid out, richly decorated, and exquisitely arranged. It is not only a gem of ancient Chinese architecture with high research value for the study of ancient Chinese architectural history, but also serves as valuable material for researching ancient Chinese commercial history, economic history, theatrical history, canal culture history, as well as the histories of calligraphy, painting, and carving arts. In particular, the many couplets praising commerce and the inscriptions on steles recording merchant names and their silver donations hold significant importance for studying the emergence of capitalism in China during the Qing Dynasty.
