Liaocheng Lakeside Park

Liaocheng Lakeside Park is bordered by Dongchang Lake to the east, Dongchang West Road to the north, and the Liaocheng Customs to the south, stretching over 2,800 meters in length with an average width of 200 meters and covering a total area of 54 hectares.

The park resembles a grand ribbon stretching from north to south, adorning the western side of Dongchang Lake with a beautiful green edge. The shimmering lake and lush greenery complement each other, borrowing the vast openness of Dongchang Lake to enhance its grandeur.

The design emphasizes integrating pathways with scenic views, ensuring roads follow the landscape and vary appropriately in width. From north to south, the four large plazas—Soaring Dragon, Dry Fountain, Golden Phoenix, and Green Leaf—are rich in meaning and diverse in form. Small plazas and roadside areas are adorned with garden features such as sculptures, fountains, and stone benches. A stone-lined lakeside canal runs north to south through the park, crossed by six uniquely designed scenic bridges that connect the seemingly separate eastern and western shores. The landscaping primarily features trees and shrubs, supplemented by a suitable amount of perennial flowers and expansive lawns. On the western side of the park, a semi-transparent grove of tall trees serves as a green screen. With a rich variety of tree species planted in clusters and groups, the park achieves a simple yet distinct, vibrant and well-structured plant landscape.
