Liaocheng Botanical Garden

Liaocheng Botanical Garden is a national AAA-level tourist attraction.

Covering an area of 560 acres, Liaocheng Botanical Garden is surrounded by water on all sides except for the main entrance, with water bodies accounting for about half of the park. It resembles a land-linked peninsula, located at the southeast corner of the intersection between Liaocheng’s South Ring Road and Liaoyang Road. A key feature of the garden is its science-driven approach, focusing on building a platform for science education and demonstration.

Spanning 40 hectares, the garden was established on the site of reclaimed abandoned kilns and wastelands. It serves as a distinctive park integrating science demonstration, leisure sightseeing, environmental education, and seedling cultivation.

Featured Landscapes: The garden highlights aquatic plants and follows the principle of combining ecological landscaping with water features. Centered around four main themes—science and technology, ecology, water scenery, and culture—it features a Hundred Flowers Garden, a Hundred Fruits Garden, an Aquatic Plant Garden, a Quality Seedling Garden, a Waterfront Amusement Park, and a Water Quality Ecological Purification Demonstration Area. Over 280 varieties of lotus flowers and aquatic plants from China and abroad have been introduced and cultivated here, making it the most diverse aquatic plant garden in Shandong Province.

Bus Information: Take bus k456 to the stop opposite Dong Station on Outer Ring Liaoyang Road; or take buses 21, k19, or k21 to the Liaocheng New South Ring Road North Station, then walk southeast.

Self-Driving Directions: Drive to the intersection of South Outer Ring Road and Liaoyang Road, then go 400 meters east to the south side of the road.
