Liaocheng South Lake Wetland Park is a national AAA-level tourist attraction.

Liaocheng South Lake Wetland Park (formerly Liaocheng Botanical Garden) is located in the middle section of the South Ring Road in Liaocheng City, covering an area of 1,080 mu. It is a distinctive park based on artificial wetlands, integrating technology demonstration, agricultural sightseeing, leisure fishing, seedling breeding, eco-catering, and environmental education. To date, the park has completed a total investment of 108 million yuan, establishing six major functional areas: the Aquatic Botanical Garden, Hundred Flowers Garden, Hundred Fruits Garden, Improved Seedlings Garden, Waterfront Amusement Park, and Lotus Culture Industrial Park. The park highlights the characteristics of aquatic plants, introducing and cultivating over 280 renowned domestic and international lotus varieties, including both high-quality breeds from around the world and specialized varieties developed using modern techniques. It is the largest aquatic plant variety garden in northern China. The park has also established corresponding wetland landscape systems, water quality ecological purification systems, and ecological fishing systems, achieving excellent social, ecological, and economic benefits. Liaocheng South Lake Wetland Park has been designated as a key protected service industry unit in Dongchangfu District, a municipal-level agricultural science park, a provincial-level science education demonstration base, and a national AAA-level tourist attraction.

Take Bus No. 21 and get off at Botanical Garden, then walk 20 meters east.

Self-driving Guide:

From Jiliao Expressway — East Ring Road — head west on South Ring Road — Liaoyang Road — Botanical Garden, approximately 15 minutes after exiting the highway.
