The Changdong Rubber Dam in Liaocheng is located on the main course of the Tuohai River in the eastern suburbs of Liaocheng city proper. It is a multi-functional water conservancy project integrating water storage, urban flood control, and tourism development. With a water storage capacity of 11 million cubic meters, the project connects the Tuohai River with Dongchang Lake and the ancient canal, making it an important part of the "Water City North of the Yangtze." It employs advanced domestic technology, featuring an inclined-wall, joint-free rubber dam. The dam base is 70 meters long, the upper section is 93.5 meters long, the designed water depth is 5 meters, and the dam bag area is 1,666 square meters. Its single-span length, dam height, and dam bag area are the largest in China. The upstream section of the rubber dam has been developed into a scenic tourist area. Visitors can take a boat from the dam to reach the Sihetou Water Control Hub, enjoying the beautiful scenery along both banks during the journey.
