Tomb of Mu Konghui

The Tomb of Mu Konghui is a cultural heritage site protected by Liaocheng City.

The Tomb of Mu Konghui is located in Sanlizhang Village, Tangyi Town, Dongchangfu District. It dates back to the Ming Dynasty and is categorized as an ancient tomb.

In April 1999, the Tomb of Mu Konghui was designated as a municipal-level cultural heritage site under Liaocheng City.

Mu Konghui, styled Boqian and also known as Xuan’an, was posthumously honored with the title Wenjian. He was born in the 15th year of the Chenghua reign during the Ming Dynasty (1479) and passed away in the 18th year of the Jiajing reign (1539). A native of Zhangzhuang Village north of Tangyi County, he once served as a tutor to Emperor Jiajing.

Mu Konghui showed remarkable intelligence from a young age, producing writings that were profound and exceptional. Calm, composed, and dignified, he earned the esteem of discerning individuals. In the 17th year of the Hongzhi reign (1504), he ranked first in the Shandong Provincial Imperial Examination. That examination session was overseen by Wang Shouren, a metropolitan official specially appointed by the imperial inspector, who administered the Shandong exam and accepted Mu Konghui as his student.
