The Wang Ruxun Ancestral Temple is a cultural heritage site protected by Liaocheng City.

The Wang Ruxun Ancestral Temple is located in Wanglou Village, Shazhen Town, Dongchangfu District. It dates back to the Ming Dynasty and is classified as an ancient architectural structure.

In October 2014, the Wang Ruxun Ancestral Temple was designated as a municipal-level cultural heritage site under the protection of Liaocheng City.

Wang Ruxun, styled Shigu and also known as Hongyang, was posthumously honored with the title Gongjie. He was a native of Wanglou in Shazhen, Liaocheng. He was born in the 30th year of the Jiajing era (1551) and passed away in the 38th year of the Wanli era (1610).

Ruxun was exceptionally intelligent from a young age and dedicated himself to diligent study. By the age of seven, he had completed reading the Four Books and Five Classics, earning him the reputation of a “child prodigy.” While attending private school, he once overheard his teacher and friends discussing their aspirations, which were limited to “seeking warmth and food.” Ruxun immediately took up his brush and wrote of his grand ambition: “Upholding integrity and principles in court life,” spanning over a thousand words. Later, he studied under the disciples of Mu Konghui and grasped the core teachings of Wang Yangming’s “School of Mind,” which greatly advanced his scholarship.
