Dongchangfu District Museum

The Dongchangfu District Museum is located at No. 16 Fuyajie Street in the ancient city area. It was built by renovating the former Liaocheng Grain Depot on Daoxijie Street, a provincial-level cultural relics protection unit, and opened to the public in October 2016. The museum currently houses a collection of 42,893 items (sets), primarily featuring ceramics and coins. It covers an area of 4,867 square meters, with an exhibition area of 1,840 square meters. The museum has eight exhibition halls in total, and its permanent exhibition is the thematic cultural relics display “Traces of the Ancient Dongchang City.” In recent years, the museum has fully leveraged its educational role by hosting temporary exhibitions such as the “Republic of China Sample Banknotes (Exchange Bills) Exhibition,” “Social Collections Ming and Qing Ceramics Exhibition,” “Liaocheng’s First Ancient Inkstone Exhibition,” and “Mr. Zhang Xianping’s Traditional Chinese Painting Art Exhibition.” It has also organized a variety of rich and colorful social education activities, receiving widespread acclaim from the public.
