The Ancestral Temple of the Cao Family is a cultural relics protection unit of Shandong Province.

The Ancestral Temple of the Cao Family is located in Caogai Village and Caozhuang Cao North Village, Liangbaosi Town, Jiaxiang County. It dates back to the Ming and Qing dynasties. On December 7, 2006, it was designated as part of the third batch of Shandong Provincial Cultural Relics Protection Units by the Shandong Provincial People's Government.

The Ancestral Temple of the Cao Family in Caozhuang Village, Liangbaosi Town, Jiaxiang County, has a history of nearly 700 years and bears witness to the scholarly and official pursuits, as well as moral conduct and life principles, of generations of the Cao family.

The ancestral temple was first built in the second year of the Zhiyuan era during the reign of Yuan Emperor Huizong (1336 AD), in honor of Cao Yuanyong, the 65th-generation ancestor of the Cao family. He served as Minister of Rites, Tongfeng Grand Master, Academician of the Hanlin Academy and Lecturer-in-waiting, and also as an Official of the Imperial Lecture Court. With a history of nearly 700 years, the temple enshrines successive generations of ancestors of the Cao family who achieved academic or official honors since the Song Dynasty. Within the courtyard, there are numerous precious stone tablets that document the migration history and clan rules of the Cao family. In 2006, the Ancestral Temple of the Cao Family was listed as a key cultural relics protection unit of Shandong Province.

Caogai Village: Located about 3 kilometers south of Liangbaosi Town, Caogai Village has a total population of 1,890 and 668 households. The village covers a total arable land area of 2,300 mu, mainly used for grain cultivation. There is one enterprise in the village. Transportation is convenient, with asphalt roads connecting all parts of the village. A new teaching building has been constructed at the local school. The village operates under transparent governance, clear target responsibilities, strict oversight, and standardized procedures. Guided by science and technology, the village promotes development in sectors such as animal husbandry—there are six livestock households and over 200 merchant households.
