Dongtan Guanyin Temple is a cultural heritage site protected by the Jining Municipal Government.

Dongtan Guanyin Temple is located in Dongtan Foshan Village, Zhifang Town, Jiaxiang County. It is categorized as an ancient building, dating back to the ancient architecture period.

On December 26, 2016, the Jining Municipal People's Government designated it as part of the fifth batch of municipal-level cultural heritage protection units in Jining.

Zhifang Town: Located 30 kilometers southwest of Jining City, Zhifang Town covers a total area of 96 square kilometers. It administers 51 administrative villages, with a population of 19,000 households, 83,000 residents, and 68,000 mu of arable land. The town is bordered by the Rihé Expressway to the north, crossed east-west by the Xinshi Railway, and traversed north-south by the provincial Ji-Jin Road. Jining Airport is situated within its jurisdiction. The town spans three major rivers—Zhushui River, Zhuzhao New River, and Cai River—offering convenient transportation by land, water, and air. The area boasts rich natural and tourism resources, including 48 hills of varying sizes, forming the only small hill cluster in southwestern Shandong.
