Dongshangzhuang Site

The Dongshangzhuang Site is a cultural heritage protection unit of Jining City.

The Dongshangzhuang Site is located east of Dongshangzhuang Village, Nanzhan Town, Wenshang County. It dates back to the Dawenkou Culture, Shang, Zhou, and Han dynasties, and is classified as an ancient site.

On March 8, 1986, the Dongshangzhuang Site was designated as a municipal-level cultural heritage protection unit of Jining City.

Nanzhan Town: Nanzhan Town is one of the fourteen newly established towns created by the Jining Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government through innovative institutional mechanisms. On July 28, 2008, based on the spirit of the Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government documents “Opinions on Further Strengthening the Construction of Provincial-level Economic Development Zones (Industrial Parks)” (Ji Fa [2008] No. 16) and “Notice on Promoting the Pilot Work of Building New-type Towns” (Ji Fa [2008] No. 20), the Wenshang County Party Committee and County Government merged 23 administrative villages originally under Wenshang Town into Nanzhan Town, integrating them with the economic development zone to form a new-type town.
