High Street Ruins

The High Street Ruins are a cultural heritage protection unit of Jining City.

The High Street Ruins are located east of Gaojie Village, Kangyi Town, Wenshang County, dating back to the Dawenkou Culture period, and are classified as an ancient site.

On March 1, 2001, the High Street Ruins were designated as a municipal-level cultural heritage protection unit of Jining City.

Kangyi Town: Located at the southernmost tip of Wenshang County, Kangyi Town borders Yanzhou to the east and Rencheng to the south. The town administers 57 administrative villages, with a total population of 75,300 and a jurisdiction area of 88.6 square kilometers, including 86,000 mu of arable land. It is a central town approved by the provincial government, was designated as a national economic development demonstration town in 2006, and was awarded the title of “Shandong Province Small Town Construction Demonstration Town” in 2010. It has received multiple honors from Jining City, including “Top Ten Towns in Comprehensive Environmental Improvement,” “Strong Economic Town,” “Well-off Town,” “Advanced Unit in Investment Attraction,” and “Advanced Unit in Safe Jining Construction.” … More information about Kangyi Town++
