Donggou River Wetland Park, built on the barren land of the lower reaches of the Donggou River, utilizes engineering techniques and artistic methods to create a beautiful and pleasant ecological environment. The park's main attractions include plant communities, rockeries and waterfalls, a children's playground, landscape stone arrangements, lakeside boardwalks and pavilions, lake views, landscape lighting, fountains, and leisure pavilions. Designed based on the concepts of ecological landscaping and green urban scenery, the park emphasizes key ecological design elements, reflecting its overall integrity, ecological nature, visual appeal, interactivity, and shared accessibility. The park is predominantly green, creating a pleasant, water-close environment with an authentic riverside natural ambiance.

The Donggou River Wetland Park and wetland conservation project have extensively greened river islands and shoals, with over ten types of aquatic plants such as cattails, reeds, bulrushes, water onions, water celery, giant reeds, and iris planted in the water areas. Donggou River Wetland Park provides water sources, replenishes groundwater, regulates flow, controls floods, protects embankments, prevents wind and sand, removes and transforms toxins and impurities, retains nutrients, prevents saltwater intrusion, offers usable resources, preserves microclimates, and provides habitats for wildlife. It holds value for tourism, leisure, education, and scientific research.
