Dashinao is located in Dashicun Village in the northwest of Nantai Township, Jinxian County. Situated at the southern end of Junshan Lake, it is a lakeside peninsula covering an area of about 800 acres. Dashinao juts out from the lakeshore and is surrounded by water on three sides, with layers of red soil stacked upon one another. From a distance, it looks like a giant dragon lying on its side or a massive crocodile crawling along the edge of Junshan Lake. The hills are lushly vegetated, with the lake embracing the hills and the hills dotting the lake—lush green because of the water, and sparkling blue because of the land. The interplay of shimmering lake and verdant hills creates a delightful scene. The area is rich in birdlife and teeming with diverse flora and fauna.
