Introduction:

This ancient residential building faces west and is built with timber-framed brick walls. It features three bays, three courtyards, and two open-air atriums. The front section has an upper floor, while the rear does not. Covering an area of 225 square meters and standing 7.2 meters tall, the house contains wooden carvings and is fronted by an ancient camphor tree. Inside, there is an embedded porcelain wooden couplet inscribed with the verse “The light of fireflies dances on the moonlit desk, the fragrance of ink brushes paints spring in the inkwell,” written and calligraphed by Cao Xiuxian during the Qianlong era of the Qing Dynasty.
