Introduction:

The Qing Dynasty architecture complex is spread across eight sections of the old town: Qianjie (Front Street), Houtie (Back Street), Lao Hengjie (Old Horizontal Street), Cuihuajie (Cuihua Street), Xinwuxia (New Houses Below), Zoujiaxiang (Zou Family Lane), Hongshiqiao (Red Stone Bridge), and Ligongtang (Li’s Hall). The total built-up area is 24,418 square meters, with the most concentrated structures found in the Houtie section, which covers 9,093 square meters. Buildings at No. 5–21 and No. 49–53 on Houtie Street date back to the Qianlong to Jiaqing eras and originally served as shops and wine stores. The structure opposite No. 51, known as “Paiyan Shouchun” (Descendants of Shouchun), was the wine cellar of Mei Fusheng during the Qianlong period. Many of the street-front historic buildings were retrofitted with European-style doors and windows in the late Qing Dynasty. All the buildings are of brick-and-timber construction, with individual units typically spanning 150–200 square meters. There are also six ancient wells in the area.

Lidu Town: Under the jurisdiction of Jinxian County, Nanchang City, Lidu Town is located in the southwestern part of Jinxian County along the middle and lower reaches of the Fu River. It is the hometown of the world-renowned violinist Sheng Zhongguo and is recognized as a key town in Jiangxi Province as well as an economic hub within Jinxian County. The town covers a total area of 40 square kilometers, with 23,000 mu of arable land and a population of 45,000, including 18,000 residents in the town center.
