Introduction:

Zhoufang Village faces south, with ponds to the south and east, and four ancient wells. The complex consists of 18 buildings covering an area of about 4,000 square meters. Constructed with brick, stone, and wood, the buildings feature plaques inscribed with phrases such as "Rujia Aristocratic Family," "Esteemed in the Imperial Court," "Highly Esteemed in Jiangnan," "Family Tradition of Virtue," "Legacy of Lotus Purity," "Scholar’s Mansion," "Taiji Symbol," "Descendants of Ruzhou," and "Blessed by Fenghao." Among these, "Rujia Aristocratic Family" and "Blessed by Fenghao" were the former residences of Zhou Huchen, a renowned brush maker in China, while the building with the plaque "Esteemed in the Imperial Court" served as a clan ancestral hall from the Qianlong era.

Zhoufang Village: Zhoufang Village is under the jurisdiction of Wen'gang Town, Jinxian County, Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province. It was originally part of Pinghu Commune (which included Zhoufang Brigade, Shangwu Brigade, and Xinping Brigade), Qiantu Commune in Linchuan Region, Jiangxi Province, and later came under the administration of Qiantu Commune, Qiantu Town in Jinxian County, until it was finally incorporated into Wen'gang Town.

Zhoufang Village is located in the middle and lower reaches of the Gan-Fu Plain. A branch of the Fu River, the Donggan Canal, flows along the southern edge of the village and splits off into another branch called the Dian Canal here. There is a “Zhoufang Control Gate” with seven openings, used to regulate water levels between the Donggan and Dian canals for irrigation or power generation.
