Dragon-Phoenix Rock

Dragon-Phoenix Rock is located at the foot of Donghua Mountain, about 16 kilometers southwest of Guangchang County. Covering an area of over ten square kilometers, it features unique peaks, peculiar rocks, mountain springs, and buildings of distinctive character. Pavilions and temples are built against the rock face, with eastern and western cliffs standing opposite each other like a dragon and phoenix soaring through the sky. Inside the cave of the front rock is a temple, which serves as the "gateway" to Dragon-Phoenix Rock. A path and a stream lead to the middle rock. The cave in the middle rock can accommodate hundreds of people. At a high point inside the cave, flying springs sprinkle down like clouds and mist, creating a fascinating scene. After walking along a shaded mountain path, visitors will see ancient pines standing on the right cliff, known as the "Ancient Pine Pass." Passing through this pass leads to the rear rock, which is the main hall of the Dragon-Phoenix Rock Temple. The three characters “Dragon-Phoenix Rock” on the gate tower were inscribed by Zhao Puchu.
