Dingxin Temple is a cultural tourism attraction.

Dingxin Temple is located in Dahe Village, Chishui Town. Originally built in the fifth year of the Xiantong era during the Tang Dynasty (864 AD), it has experienced multiple periods of prosperity and decline, and was rebuilt in the second year of the Guangxu era during the Qing Dynasty (1876 AD). The temple covers an area of over 1,000 square meters and still retains architectural styles from the Tang and Song dynasties. It is one of the thousand-year-old temples preserved in Guangchang and is a key locally open religious site. The temple houses two ancient osmanthus trees—one that blooms yellow flowers, known as the Golden Osmanthus, and another that blooms white flowers, known as the Silver Osmanthus. These trees bloom four times a year and are said to have been gifted by Lai Xun, the Yunnan Censor of the Ming Dynasty. Historical records state: In his youth, Lai Xun, from Yiqian, came from a poor family and often crouched outside the windows of the school near Xilin Temple while herding cattle to listen to lessons. The abbot Yuetao noticed his intelligence and eagerness to learn, so he provided financial and material support to help him complete his studies. Later, Yuetao became the abbot of Dingxin Temple. Out of gratitude, Lai Xun sent two osmanthus trees from Yunnan, which Yuetao planted in front of the Hall of the Three Saints. The temple also houses a Ming Dynasty stone stele inscribed with the “Record of the Reconstruction of Dingxin Temple.” The text was written by He Wen Yuan, Minister of Personnel; the title was engraved by Jie Ji, Vice Minister of War; and the calligraphy was done by Huang Jian, a tribute student. Ye Xiaoping, President of the Buddhist Association of China, inscribed the plaques “Dingxin Chan Temple” and “Vast and Solemn Virtue” for the temple.

As of the end of 2019, the town had a registered population of 23,277 and a resident population of 16,518. The Chishui Town urban area refers to the developed and constructed area where the Chishui Town government is located, as well as the surrounding areas designated for planning control and management due to construction and development needs. The planned control area of the town is approximately 284.21 hectares.
