Behind Huibei Longshan Mountain in Guyuan Village, Chishui Town, scattered across an area of about 800 square meters, are variously sized and shaped dark brown rocks inscribed with a range of ancient symbols and characters. The strokes include hooks, lines, circles, dots, horizontals, verticals, slashes, and ticks, all clearly and boldly carved. The markings are rugged, grand, and shrouded in mystery. Discovered in January 1989, experts in ancient scripts from the provincial cultural relics department conducted on-site investigations and confirmed them to be unquestionably ancient writing. The vast expanse and archaic linear style of these ancient symbols and characters are considered a wonder of the world. They are set to provide a rare and precious physical resource for uncovering the mysteries of ancient human culture and understanding the evolution of ancient scripts, holding significant scientific research value.
