Site of the Second Meeting of the General Front Committee of the First Red Army. On May 26, 1931, Comrades Mao Zedong and Zhu De led the First Red Army from Yanfang, Ningdu to Kuzhu. That evening, the Second Meeting of the General Front Committee during the Second Counter-“Encirclement and Suppression” Campaign was held at the Bao Family Ancestral Hall (now the site of Kuzhu Primary School). Attendees included Mao Zedong, Zhu De, Peng Dehuai, Huang Gonglue, Lin Biao, Cai Huiwen, Luo Ronghuan, Luo Binghui, and Guo Huaruo. The meeting decided to attack the three Nationalist divisions that had retreated into Guangchang City, leading to the capture of Guangchang County.
