Wenfeng Academy is located in Longxi Village, Gan Zhuang Town, Guangchang County. The entire architectural complex is grand and profound, spanning 79 meters in width and 63.7 meters in depth, covering a total area of 5,032 square meters. The main structure consists of three courtyards, featuring a gatehouse at the front and five courtyard areas including Yangxin Studio and Flower Tower on the sides, forming a layout of courtyards within courtyards and gardens within gardens. The stone-carved window patterns are unique, and the partition screens of the side rooms are diverse in style. The eaves are adorned with richly painted lines depicting lotus flowers, peonies, floral designs, figures, and birds. According to genealogical records, this building was constructed during the Ming Chenghua era by Rao Bingjian, an educator and former Prefect of Lianzhou in Guangdong (author of "Spring and Autumn Annals Synopsis," among other works—his entry is listed in "The Biographical Dictionary of Chinese"). It originally served as a lecture hall and was one of the influential academies of the Ming Dynasty. Luo Lun, a Ming Dynasty scholar who achieved the top rank in the imperial examinations and served as a Hanlin academician editor, once gave lectures here and wrote "Record of Wenfeng Villa."
