The former site of the Red First Army Corps Command at Jianfeng is a cultural relic protection unit of Jiangxi Province and a classic red tourism attraction.

The former site of the Red First Army Corps Command at Jianfeng is located in Zhongwuxia, Shuanghu Village, Jianfeng Township, Guangchang County. According to the eighth revised genealogy of the Liao family, this ancestral hall was built during the Jiaqing era of the Qing Dynasty. The structure faces south and is built with brick and wood, covering an area of 198 square meters. The stone plaque above the main gate is inscribed with the characters “Mingyuan Ancestral Hall,” and the doorposts are carved with exquisitely detailed auspicious animal motifs such as horses, bees, and monkeys. In 1931, the command of the Red First Army Corps was stationed at the Liao family ancestral hall in Zhongwuxia, where military strategies were planned in preparation for breaking the enemy’s third “encirclement and suppression” campaign.
