The former site of the Red Ninth Army Corps Command in Luojiabao is a cultural relic protection unit of Jiangxi Province and a classic red tourism attraction.

The former site of the Red Ninth Army Corps Command in Luojiabao (including the Shike Di Residence and the Magistrate Luo’s Villa) is located in Luojiacun Village, Gan Zhu Town, Guangchang County. Constructed in the 10th year of the Tongzhi reign during the Qing Dynasty, it was built by Luo Yushan, the magistrate of Qingyuan County in Guangdong. The building faces south, has fire-prevention gables, and occupies an area of 600 square meters. The stone plaque above the doorway is inscribed with the three characters “Shi Ke Di,” which signify generations of success in the imperial examinations, with scenes of figures and stories carved around the plaque. The eaves on both sides of the main gate feature brick carvings of figures, flowers, and geometric patterns, all exquisitely crafted. Between March and April 1934, the command post of the Ninth Army Corps of the First Front Red Army, led by Luo Binghui and Cai Shufan, was stationed here. It directed Red Army forces in the Fifth Encirclement Campaign, repelling attacks from five divisions of the Nationalist forces’ western river column. Today, multiple Red Army slogans are preserved on the premises.
