Huangpi Battle Memorial Pavilion

Located beside the highway at the entrance of Huangpi Town, it was completed in October 1986, covering an area of 400 square meters. The pavilion has a two-story hexagonal structure and stands 11.6 meters tall. As you climb the steps, you’ll see a black plaque with golden characters hanging above the entrance, inscribed with the words “Huangpi Battle Memorial Pavilion,” personally written by Yuan Xuezhu, a veteran Red Army soldier who took part in the Huangpi Battle and former Deputy Minister of Civil Affairs. Inside the pavilion, at the center, stands a white marble memorial stele measuring 1 meter wide and 1.8 meters high. The front of the stele is engraved with a “Map of the Huangpi Victory,” while the back features golden clerical-script inscriptions titled “Introduction to the Huangpi Victory.” The interior is richly decorated with carved beams and painted rafters, featuring exquisite artwork, and at the center of the ceiling is a large red star symbolizing the glorious history of the Communist Party of China.

The Huangpi Battle Memorial Pavilion has been approved by the Fuzhou Municipal Committee and Municipal Government as a patriotic education base.
