Caoxiagang Battle Memorial Pavilion in Dongbei Town
The ‘Caoxiagang Battle Memorial Pavilion in Dongbei Town’ is situated in Huangbailing Village, Dongbei Town, Yihuang County. In 1933, the Fourth Red Army achieved a major victory over Chiang Kai-shek’s fourth ‘Encirclement Campaign.’ The Red Army set a remarkable example of a weaker force triumphing over a stronger one, marking a glorious page in the military history of the People’s Liberation Army. To honor this victory, the local government constructed and renovated the ‘Caoxiagang Battle Memorial Pavilion in Dongbei Town’ in 1986 and 2011, providing a place for us to remember the heroic deeds of the revolutionary martyrs.
