The former site of the Political Department of the Hunan-Hubei-Jiangxi Provincial Military District at Quanfenglingshaxia

The former site of the Political Department of the Hunan-Hubei-Jiangxi Provincial Military District is located in Wangjiawu, Quanfenglingshaxia Natural Village, Xinshe Village Committee, Xianyuan Township, Wanzi County, Yichun City, Jiangxi Province. The site faces south and is a traditional residential building with an earth-and-wood structure. It consists of two courtyards and has a total of three halls and twelve rooms.

In order to strengthen unified leadership over the Red Army and local armed forces across the province, according to the decision of the Central Military Commission, the Hunan-Hubei-Jiangxi Provincial Military District was established in Xiaoyuan, Wanzi in the spring of 1932. The Political Department of the military district was stationed in this building, with Liu Xuehao serving as the director of the Political Department. A group of military and political cadres were trained in Xiaoyuan.
