The Zhashuwo Site

The Zhashuwo Site, a cultural site from the Shang Dynasty, is located to the northwest of the Xiawo Site, with the two sites lying adjacent to each other. It stands about 50 meters above the ground surface, measuring 100 meters in length and 80 meters in width, covering a total area of 8,000 square meters. The soil is yellow, and the area suffers from severe soil erosion. Exposed on the surface are polished stone tools, pottery shards, and primitive pottery pieces coated with gray and soy-sauce colored glazes.

The stone tools found at the site are mainly stone adzes and stone axes. Pottery items include folded-shoulder jars, round-bellied jars, shallow-dish tripods, and deep-bellied round-bottomed jars.
