Former Site of the Red Central Hospital of the Hunan-Hubei-Jiangxi Provincial Soviet

The Former Site of the Red Central Hospital of the Hunan-Hubei-Jiangxi Provincial Soviet is a cultural relic protection unit of Jiangxi Province.

The Xianyuan Red Tourism Scenic Area is located in the northwest of Wanrong County, about 50 kilometers from the county seat. On April 12, 1932, the Hunan-Hubei-Jiangxi Provincial Committee, the Provincial Soviet government, and other provincial-level agencies relocated from Xiushui to Xianyuan, which was then known as the "Little Moscow." The scenic area preserves numerous revolutionary sites and features rich "red-tourism" resources. The former sites of the Hunan-Hubei-Jiangxi Provincial Committee, the Provincial Soviet Government, and the Red Flag Newspaper Office have been designated as National Key Cultural Relics Protection Units. The Xianyuan Red Tourism Area has also been recognized as one of “Jiangxi Province’s Top Ten Beloved Red Tourism Attractions,” a “Jiangxi Patriotic Education Base,” and a “Jiangxi National Defense Education Base.” Additionally, the area boasts numerous cultural and natural landscapes, such as Huangpijian (the second highest peak in the county at 1,182 meters above sea level), the Guanyuan Mountain Forest Farm home to many rare trees and animals, and the picturesque Immortal Lake (Tankou Reservoir).
