The Former Site of the Jiangxi Military District Command is a cultural relic protection unit of Jiangxi Province and a classic red tourism attraction.

The Former Site of the Jiangxi Military District Command is located in Liziyuan Village, Meijiang Town, Ningdu County. It faces east and sits west, with a pond in front and residential houses to the rear, left, and right. In late January 1933, the Jiangxi Military District Command relocated from Xingguo to Ningdu County, and then moved here, where it remained until October 1934. During this period, Chen Yi, Cai Huawen, and Li Cifan successively served as commanders; Li Fuchun, Peng Xuefeng, and Zeng Shan as political commissars; Guo Tianmin, Chen Qihan, and Xue Zizheng as chiefs of staff; and Cai Huawen, Liu Chouxī, Deng Xiaoping, Luo Ronghuan, Gan Kehan, and Huang Zhichao as heads of the political department. The Jiangxi Military District Command was the leading organ of the local armed forces in the province. It played a significant role in supporting operations of the main Red Army forces, covering their transfer, and conducting guerrilla warfare. It was designated as a cultural relic protection unit of Jiangxi Province in 1959 and was (re-announced) on December 28, 1987.
