Xianyou Jinzhong Lake Water Conservancy Scenic Area

Jinzhong Reservoir is situated in the middle reaches of the Cuxi River, a tributary of the Zhangxi River in the Minjiang River system, within Shicang Township in the northern part of Xianyou County, Putian City. It has a drainage area of 200 square kilometers, a dam height of 97.5 meters, a normal water storage level of 245 meters, and a total storage capacity of 106 million cubic meters. This reservoir is the largest water conservancy hub project in Fujian Province since the reform and opening up, and it serves as a key infrastructure project for Putian City’s “Northern Water Diversion to the South.” It is a large-scale inter-basin water diversion and transfer project that integrates irrigation and water supply.

Jinzhong Reservoir boasts a beautiful environment and fresh air, making it a natural oxygen bar.
