Former Site of the Xiace Temple Liaison Station

The former site of the Xiace Temple Liaison Station is located in Peicuo Natural Village, Zhuoquan Village, Zhongshan Town, Xianyou County, Putian City.

From September 1943 to June 1944, while the CPC Fujian Provincial Committee was operating in the border region of Xianyou, Yongtai, and Dehua, the CPC Central Fujian Special Committee set up several transportation lines and liaison stations to facilitate the committee’s leadership of revolutionary activities and office relocations throughout Central Fujian. The Zhuoquan Xiace Temple Liaison Station was established during this time by Su Hua (female), a member of the Fujian Provincial Committee and political courier, who was active in the Xingtai Mountain area of Xianyou. Disguised as a midwife, she engaged with local communities and successfully established a transportation route between Zhongshan in Xianyou and Changle in Putian.

The former site of the Xiace Temple Liaison Station is now a village-run farm. It is a two-story stone-and-wood structure with six rooms, covering an area of 140 square meters, and features a large pond in front of the building.

Zhuoquan Village: Zhuoquan Village is located in the southern part of Zhongshan Town, Xianyou County, about 5 kilometers southeast of the town government seat and east of the Xianzhuang Highway. It borders Huting Village to the east, Heling to the west, Dongxi Village to the north, and Bangtou Town to the south. The village has two roads passing through it and is situated 5 kilometers from Jiuli Lake Scenic Area, lying on the main route to Jiuli Lake from within Xianyou. The village covers a total area of 5.3 square kilometers, including 1,600 mu of arable land, and has a current population of 1,680 residents.
