The former site of the CPC Fujian Provincial Committee's Donghu Residence is located in Donghu Natural Village, Donghu Village, Xiyuan Township, Xianyou County, Putian City.

In April 1944, after relocating from Qingxi, Yongtai to Banli, Dehua, the CPC Fujian Provincial Committee headquarters faced extreme logistical difficulties due to the sparse population and the constant threat of search-and-destroy operations by the Nationalist Party’s security forces. In June of the same year, the provincial committee leadership decided to move the headquarters from Banli, Dehua to Donghu Village on the border between Xianyou and Yongtai (the village was under Yongtai County before liberation and is now part of Xianyou County). On June 25, the provincial committee held an expanded cadres' meeting in Donghu, during which Zeng Jingbing delivered a report titled "Opposing Subjectivism in the Struggle." During the meeting, news arrived that the Yongtai County Bureau and security forces of the Nationalist Party were preparing to attack. The provincial committee’s guard forces fought back decisively and routed the attacking enemy. Subsequently, they escorted the provincial committee headquarters to Duanwei, Xianyou, but unexpectedly encountered armed forces from the local town office at Zhongyue Street in Houpu. The provincial committee headquarters then moved northeastward and arrived at Guanlie, Yongtai in July.

The former site of the CPC Fujian Provincial Committee's Donghu Residence is a two-story civil-structured building with a floor area of 85 square meters. The CPC Putian Municipal Committee Party History Research Office erected a memorial plaque for its protection in December 2011.
