The Former Site of the Soviet Government on the Border of Putian, Xianyou, and Yongtai is a classic red tourism attraction.

The Former Site of the Soviet Government on the Border of Putian, Xianyou, and Yongtai is located in Wangyang Natural Village, Lutou Village, Youyang Town, Xianyou County, Putian City.

In January 1933, the central county committee of the CCP in Putian followed directives from the central municipal committee in Fuzhou to organize struggles against taxes, levies, debts, and for grain redistribution. The committee sent Chen Jianxin, Zhang Zhaohan (Wang Bei), and others from Changtai, Putian. Led by Zou Han, they arrived at the home of Zeng Tong in Lutou Village, Guyi (now Youyang Town), where they established a liaison station and recruited Zeng Tong to participate in revolutionary activities.

On the evening of May 4 of the same year, Chen Jianxin, Zeng Tong, Zeng Jinkui, Chen Guanglong, Qiu Tu, Qiu Mao, Cai Bingxiong, Lin Wusheng, Lin Yuxiong, and 40 other individuals—totaling 49 people—held a meeting at Shuntian Palace in Lutou Village, announcing the establishment of the Soviet Government on the border of Putian (田), Xianyou (游), and Yongtai (泰). Zeng Tong was appointed as the chairman of the Soviet Government. The government, under the leadership of the central county committee of the CCP in Putian, primarily focused on uniting and mobilizing the masses to carry out struggles against taxes, levies, and debts.

The Former Site of the Soviet Government on the Border of Putian, Xianyou, and Yongtai is Shuntian Palace, a single-story brick-concrete structure that serves as a temple dedicated to the Goddess Wu Sheng Tianfei. It covers an area of 160 square meters.

Lutou Village: Lutou Village is located in the eastern part of Youyang Town, bordering Chengxiang District. It is 21 kilometers from the town government and 28 kilometers from downtown Putian. The village is divided into five natural villages, with a total of 176 households and a population of 748. The village has 450 acres of arable land and 9,000 acres of mountainous land, including 3,000 acres of bamboo, 300 acres of high-quality olives, and 300 acres of loquats.
