The former site of the headquarters of the Minzhong Guerrilla Column in Sihuang is a classic red tourism destination.

The former site of the headquarters of the Minzhong Guerrilla Column in Sihuang is located in Luqian Natural Village, Sihuang Village, Shufeng Township, Xianyou County, Putian City.

After the establishment of the Minzhong Guerrilla Column in April 1947, it advanced westward along the Putian-Xianyou border, preparing to rendezvous with the Min-Zhe-Jiang Guerrilla Column led by Zuo Fengmei at Daiyun Mountain. In mid-June, when the Minzhong Guerrilla Column reached Shufeng Township, it set up camp at Yunfeng Rock in Qingshan Fort, Shufeng Township, and held a military meeting there on June 15. At the meeting, Huang Guozhen, Secretary of the Xianyou County Committee of the Communist Party of China, reported on the activities of the Xianyou Party organization and the increasingly difficult living conditions of the local people, who were running out of food as the planting season had not yet arrived. After hearing the report, the column leadership decided to abandon the original plan to attack Xing’an (now Shecheng) and instead assault the Houpu Grain Depot in Duanwei to break into the storage and distribute grain, in order to address the urgent food needs of the local farmers. That night, the Daiyun Column withdrew from Qingshan Fort and headed toward Houpu in Duanwei to prepare for the attack on the grain depot.

The former headquarters site of the Minzhong Guerrilla Column is Yunfeng Rock, a brick-and-wood Buddhist temple consisting of upper and lower sections, covering an area of 300 square meters.

Sihuang Village: Sihuang Village is located north of Licheng, in the central part of Shufeng Township, 15 kilometers from the county seat, and lies on the mandatory route to the provincial-level tourist attraction Caixi Rock. The village is situated in a low mountainous and hilly area, with an elevation between 380 and 450 meters. It borders Bangtou Town to the east, Xikeng Village to the west, Lanshi Village to the south, and Shufeng Village to the north.
