General's Waterfall:

This waterfall is located 12 kilometers from Shihu. The journey here winds along a secluded, ancient, and tranquil path. At the waterfall’s end stand two towering cliffs resembling warriors guarding a pass — an awe-inspiring sight. Steep cliffs and verdant forests line both sides of the river. Here, the rushing waters cascade down into the Ju Stream in Changtai, Putian. Looking down from the top of the waterfall, the high cliffs block the view, making the descending water almost invisible. But once you enter Putian territory and look back, you’ll see an approximately 8-meter-high and 3-meter-wide waterfall plunging down from the cliff, offering a breathtaking view reminiscent of the grand scene depicted in the famous poem “Viewing the Waterfall at Mount Lu” by the great Tang Dynasty poet Li Bai: “Sunlight streams on Incense Stone and warms the vapors blue; / Far off I watch the waterfall plunge to the long pool. / Flying waters descending straight three thousand feet, / Till I think the Silver River has tumbled from the blue.”
