Tomb of Li Fu

The Tomb of Li Fu is a cultural heritage site protected at the provincial level in Fujian Province.

The Tomb of Li Fu is situated in Pingtian Natural Village, Lingxia Village, Chantai Town, Chengxiang District. It was built during the Song Dynasty, faces north-northwest at a 40° angle, has a width of 11.3 meters, an overall depth of 33.45 meters, a height of 13.84 meters, and covers an area of about 400 square meters. The tomb is laid out in a “wind” character shape, with three terraces and a rammed earth structure. In front of the tomb mound is a granite sacrificial altar, and the lotus-petal base features relief carvings, which are original features from when the tomb was first constructed. The Tomb of Li Fu was designated as a Fujian Provincial Cultural Relics Protection Unit in 2005.

Li Fu (1085–1162), courtesy name Zicheng. During the Southern Song Dynasty, he funded and raised volunteer troops to resist the Jin invaders. He sailed north and joined the army under the renowned general Han Shizhong, where he was appointed as a Chengxin Lang (a military official rank) and worked as an administrative clerk at the Palace Command. Later, he resigned from office, returned home, and devoted himself to teaching and public welfare. He was buried here after his death.
