Yan Shou Bridge

Yan Shou Bridge is a cultural heritage site protected at the provincial level in Fujian Province.

Yan Shou Bridge is located in Yan Shou Natural Village, Yan Shou Village, Longqiao Subdistrict Office, Chengxiang District. It was jointly built in the first year of the Jianyan era of the Song Dynasty (1127) by Li Fu, who held the title of Chengxin Lang, and Fang Tiankuang, a judicial officer. The original bridge had twelve piers and thirteen spans. It collapsed during the Xuande era of the Ming Dynasty (1426–1435), was rebuilt in the fifth year of the Zhengtong era (1440) by Wu Enliang, and was renovated in the fortieth year of the Wanli era (1612) by Huang Qilong, an imperial censor. The bridge features eleven spans and ten boat-shaped piers, and is a cantilever-style stone beam bridge that spans the Yan Shou Stream. It runs from north to south, measures 91.62 meters in length, 2.9 meters in width, and 11 meters in height. The bridge is equipped with stone railings, and at its northern end stands a bridge memorial archway inscribed with texts related to its construction, along with a stone inscription from the sixth year of the Guangxu era of the Qing Dynasty. Yan Shou Bridge was designated as a Fujian Provincial Cultural Heritage Site in 2005.
