The Shishiyan Brick Pagoda is located on the southeastern side of Shishiyan Temple in Beimo Community, Longqiao Subdistrict Office, Chengxiang District. In the late Tang Dynasty, the eminent monk Miaoying practiced meditation here. After the death of the high monk Zuxian from Miaoying Temple during the Southern Song Dynasty, this pagoda was built to the west of the temple, with an inscription composed by Liu Kezhuang. The pagoda fell into disrepair in the early Ming Dynasty but was rebuilt during the Yongle era (1403–1424). Today, the pagoda retains wooden eaves, though its railings have been destroyed, leaving only the main body. The pagoda faces south and is a hollow, seven-story, square-brick structure about 20 meters tall. Each level has four sides with Buddha niches, most of which no longer contain statues. The base is made of stone, measuring 3.86 meters per side. The Shishiyan Brick Pagoda was designated as a Fujian Provincial Cultural Relics Protection Unit in 2005.
