Longqiao Subdistrict, Chengxiang District, Putian City, Fujian Province, was newly established in April 2002 following an adjustment of Putian’s administrative divisions. It is the location of the new municipal Party committee and government offices of Putian, with the subdistrict office situated in Longqiao. The subdistrict covers an area of 20.6 square kilometers, including 992 mu of arable land, 7,626 mu of forested land, and 680 mu of water bodies. It administers five community neighborhood committees—Longqiao, Taiping, Beimo, Xiamo, and Xing’an—and three village committees—Sihua, Yanshou, and Yangxi, with a permanent population of 59,000.
