Longqiao Subdistrict in Chengxiang District, Putian City, Fujian Province, was newly established in April 2002 following an adjustment of Putian’s administrative divisions. It is home to the new sites of the Putian Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government, with its subdistrict office located in Longqiao. The subdistrict covers an area of 20.6 square kilometers, including 992 mu of arable land, 7,626 mu of forestland, and 680 mu of water bodies. It governs five community committees—Longqiao, Taiping, Beimo, Xiamo, and Xing’an—as well as three village committees: Sihua, Yanshou, and Yangxi, with a permanent population of 59,000.
