The seventh batch of provincial-level water conservancy scenic areas in Fujian Province

The Chixi Water Conservancy Scenic Area in Jiaocheng District is managed by the Chixi Water Conservancy Scenic Area Management Committee of Jiaocheng District, which is responsible for the protection, management, and development of water conservancy projects and landscape resources within the area.

Leveraging the stream, mountain pools, and natural scenery along the creek, as well as water conservancy structures such as flood control embankments, the scenic area provides a comfortable leisure space for visitors and local residents, serving as a quasi-public welfare open scenic area.

According to the "Water Function Zoning Standards" and the "Functional Zoning of Important Rivers, Lakes, and Reservoirs in Fujian Province," the Chixi Water Conservancy Scenic Area in Jiaocheng District is located on the Yanle Stream, a major tributary of the Huotong Stream basin. There is no industrial pollution in the upstream and surrounding areas. The scenic area management has invested significant human and material resources to strengthen conservation efforts. The development of water conservancy tourism projects has minimal comprehensive impact on water quality and aquatic ecological environments, while also playing a certain role in promoting local economic development.
