Affiliated to the Ningde Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television, Press and Publication, Ningde Museum (Mindong She Ethnic Museum) is a comprehensive museum dedicated to collecting, exhibiting, and researching the history, culture, folk customs, and cultural relics of the Mindong She ethnic group in Ningde. The Mindong She Ethnic Museum was established in 1989, and Ningde Museum was founded in 2005, with both museums operating under a "one team, two brands" model. In 2009, it was rated as a "National Third-Class Museum" by the National Cultural Heritage Administration.

The new exhibition hall of the museum covers an area of 800 square meters, with displays divided into two major sections: the history of Ningde and the Mindong She ethnic group, featuring over 800 cultural relics. The Ningde historical relics section is categorized into five parts: ancient sites, ancient tombs, ancient architecture, stone carvings and inscriptions, and important modern historical sites and representative buildings. It vividly showcases the long history and splendid culture of Ningde through a combination of text and images. The Mindong She ethnic relics section, with its rich collection, presents aspects of She ethnic weddings, traditional costumes of different styles from various regions, as well as production and daily life customs, covering religious rituals, clothing and jewelry, production tools, household items, and handicrafts. This provides visitors with an intuitive and vivid perspective on the history and traditional culture of the She ethnic group.

Ningde Museum (Mindong She Ethnic Museum) is open year-round without holidays. It is open daily from 8:30 AM to 11:30 AM and 2:30 PM to 5:00 PM (winter hours), and from 3:00 PM to 5:30 PM (summer hours).
